Born and raised on Martha’s Vineyard, I’ve always had a deep connection to dogs. As a baby, my grandparents had a sweet springer spaniel named Olyvia, while my family raised two German shepherds — Noah and Rauel.
Noah was a trained police K-9, retired after being hit by a car. He was remarkable — he could climb fences, open door knobs, and once threw himself through a window just to prove he could get outside.
As Noah grew older, I was lucky to have my little teacup chihuahua from my mom’s pack — she used to walk between Noah’s legs and curl up with him. The largest blessing in my life has been turning that lifelong love for dogs and animals into a career.
